Re:Sport Wrestling

[edit]

I am not going to disagree with you on that. but wikipedia has made amateur wrestling on the site into sport wrestling. Personally, i'd prefer it to be amateur, but i was just sticking with what the article called it to avoid confussion. ZeWrestler 3:15 march 16, 2005 (UTC)

That makes sense... Maybe when we get further along I'll go ahead and convert it all to amateur wrestling. For now, there are bigger fish to fry - actually getting some decent wrestling content on here. Gantry 03:15, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Very true. We really need to get a lot more information on here. One thing we should eventually do an artical on is Real Pro Wrestling. That's hopefully going to bring some attention ourway. ZeWrestler 3:33 march 16, 2005 (UTC)
Agreed, a RPW article should be up before the show airs. I'll put that on the todo list, but have a few things i want to get going for now. Going to add stubs for all the D1 champs this year, should be done later tonight. Then want to make good pages for all the 3-time champs. My focus will mostly be collegiate, as that is what I know best. Gantry 03:42, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC)
great to hear that someone else besides me is actually putting a good amount of time in to wrestling. =) i look forward to reading the articals, and contributing to them. (also glad someone else will add the stubs to this years winners)ZeWrestler 3:50 march 16, 2005 (UTC)
Likewise my friend. Be sure and watch the sport wrestler and sport wrestler stub pages, I'll add all my work to one or both of those pages. Just finished Teyon Ware, Espo coming up Gantry 03:56, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Real Pro Wrestling

[edit]

An artical has been created for Real Pro Wrestling. I added some information to it, but it needs a lot more work, see if you can add anything to it. .--ZeWrestler 6:43 31 March 2005

Collaboration of the week for Dan Gable

[edit]

Hello,

I have nominated the artical on Dan Gable for the calaboration of the week. But the artical needs as much support as possible. This will be a tough one that has potential to become a collaborated artical with help of people like you. Please place your vote at the collaboration of the week artical under the Dan Gable Section. Thank you very much for your help. ZeWrestler 17:42, 17 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Biography Collaboration of the week

[edit]

Gable on BCOTW Check it out. A new collaboration of the week has started, and I nominated Dan Gable for it. If you could support this artical, we could possible see a lot of work done to it soon. --ZeWrestler 02:14, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I was going through some of my older edits and I noticed that I'd nominated this article for deletion in the past Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Chris Pendleton. Since it's seen no real editing activity recently and it was voted to merge (although no one bothered merging it), I was considering renominating it. I saw you had interest in this article, so I wanted to ask: Is there a wikiproject on wrestling that can give this article some love and attention (or merge it someplace where it will be given love and attention?) --Gmaxwell 04:01, 10 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for cleaning up/adding info on my edit to Steve Mocco's page. I have a photograph that I myself took and would like to add to his page. What is your advice on this? 139.78.10.144 11:20, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Future wrestling articles

[edit]

It looks like you want to start an article about Schlatter. He's definitely noteworthy, but I think it might be better to hold off and see how he does at nationals so that there's a solid year of achievement to write about (though the Schlatter/Nickerson/Metcalf recruiting race could be an interesting article in and out of itself). On that same note, I'm probably going to write a Nickerson article after nationals, and a Beast of the East article when I feel like it. Anything you're thinking of putting up in the near future? Cejudo probably deserves his own, but I don't know anything about the international freestyle scene, so I wouldn't be the best person to do that... Stilgar135 00:59, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ah, looks like Cejudo does have an article. It sucks. Argh. Stilgar135 01:17, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Gantry! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 8 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Teyon Ware - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Notice

The article Zack Esposito has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails GNG. Googling and checking news returns little that could satisfy WP:V. Relatively few non bot edits since creation. Tagged for notability since 2010.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
