The 2016 Wikimedia ZA AGM was held on the 12 November 2016. A new board was elected in the morning and a report was given about Wikimedia ZA's activities during 2016 as well as planning for 2017. The celebration of Afrikaans Wikipedia's 15th birthday will happen around the same time.

The 12th Cape Town meetup was held on Sunday, 6 February 2016 at Truth Coffee, Buitenkant Street, Cape Town.

The first South African Art + Feminism edit-a-thon will be held in Cape Town on the 5th March 2016 at the Michaelis School of Fine Art, UCT from 10am-6pm. Due to popular demand a second event was held at the same place and time on the 9th April 2016.

The 2015 Wikimedia ZA AGM was held on the 28 November 2015. A new board was elected in the morning and a report was given about Wikimedia ZA's activities during 2015 as well as planning for 2016. After the event the Wiki Loves Monuments 2015 awards ceremony was held at the same venue.

A photo of eight of the people who attended the 10th Cape Town meetup on the 4 October 2015 at Truth Coffee. 11 cups of free coffee were consumed on the day.

Some confusion caused by the waiters giving one group a table in an obscure semi-hidden location at the back of the Coffee Shop. This led to two tables being set up in ignorance of each other as half the attendees could not find each other. Lesson of the day: in the future get a table that is close to the entrance and easy to find. Otherwise it was a great success.

This 8th Cape Town Wikimeetup was a bit different as Wikimedia ZA was announcing the winners of the Wiki From Above competition on the same day so the meetup was held at the same place as the award event during the FVP Fest -essentially a festival for drone pilots- at the Wild Clover Farm near Stellenbosch.

The 7th Cape Town meetup was held on Sunday, 1st February 2015 at Truth Coffee, Buitenkant Street, Cape Town.

The Wikimedia ZA was held on the 1st November 2014. All Wikipedians and Wikimedians were invited to attend. The event was held at Twenty Fifty on 36 Buitenkant Street. The AGM coincided with the Wiki Loves Monuments award ceremony.
